The Veterans Outdoor Fund comes alongside U.S. veterans adjusting to civilian life. VOF’s guided hunting, fishing, hiking, and outdoor activities provide veterans with the opportunity to heal in nature. We welcome veterans of all backgrounds—wounded or not—into the outdoors with us at safe, organized events. Veterans are given the chance to bond with fellow soldiers and find mutual support from those who have suffered similar physical and mental anguish in service to our country.

WE ARE VOF

Taking elk counts towards a hunter's deer permits and bag limit. Licenses and check-in procedures for elk are the same as for deer. Successful elk hunters are required to contact the Department of Game and Inland Fisheries so that samples for diseases can be collected. Elk hunting may be closed in some regions where the Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries is restoring elk populations.
